Financial aid is money to help you pay for your tuition and other educational costs, as well as reasonable living expenses while you attend college. There are different types of financial aid, including grants, scholarships, student loans, student employment, exemptions, and waivers; paid for by federal, state, institutional, and private funds.
The Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships supports UTEP's mission of increasing access to an excellent education by addressing affordability barriers and providing students with financial resources to help them persist. Programs like the Paydirt Promise, the Miner Success Grant, and the UTEP Excellence Scholarship, recognize the potential of our students and allow them to pursue a degree from a top tier research university, while paying one of the lowest out of pocket costs in the state. Over $220 million dollars of financial aid are awarded to UTEP students every year.
We care about you and are ready to help you every step of your educational journey. Explore this website for more information on financial aid and scholarships at UTEP or go to financialaid.utep.edu/talk to connect with one of our advisors.
